This SC Targa has not turned a wheel since 2011. The owner before me put it under a cover in a heated barn and life got in the way - it simply never came back out. Forty thousand original miles, and I mean original: the odometer has not moved since. It does not run yet. I have not tried to start it and I am not going to pretend otherwise - fuel system, brakes, every rubber seal on the car will want attention before anyone drives it. What it has going for it: no rust that I can find, an interior that looks like it rolled out of the showroom, and a title that has never left one family. This is a project for somebody who wants to do it right, not a car to drive home.

Straight up: this is the wrong car for a sixteen-year-old - it doesn't run, it's a rear-engine classic with no modern safety gear, and the first thing a new driver needs is something that starts every morning. The seller is honest about the condition, which I'll give him credit for, but you're paying a lot of money for a car nobody has even attempted to start, and a 13-year sleep means fuel system, brakes, tires, all seals and quite possibly the clutch and engine internals before it's safe on a road. The photos are worthless - twelve copies of the same line drawing, no interior, no engine bay, no odometer, nothing of the underside - so every claim about the no-rust body and showroom interior is his word and nothing else. Air-cooled 911s of this era are known for rust in the Targa bar, floor pans and battery box area, which is exactly what you can't see here. If someone in the family genuinely wants a long project Porsche that's a different conversation, but as a first car it's a non-starter, literally.
